We turned our compass 180º and headed south through Zion National Park, Valley of Fire State Park, Las Vegas, and Lake Mead. With two dental visits a month apart, we […]

LOL! Just tell her that you know someone who had height issues tackle the trail and he did just fine. Tell her she can always go as high as she wants…. :) We were able to score a week only because Mike got reservations about 6 months in advance, he doesn’t mess around with National Parks in the summer (tough lesson we learned last year). Hope you are able to talk your wife into joining you on the trail, the views are outstanding!

That last part is definitely not the easiest for anyone with height issues, but if you don’t have height problems, then it’s pretty awesome. DEFINITELY DEFINITELY go early and beat the crowds. I’m totally with you, when there are crowds, it gets a lot more hairy!

Thanks! Making it up most of the way is still impressive. Plus Walters Wiggles is a real pain in the butt (and thighs, and knees….) LOL about the vertigo! I think I made Mike a little bit nervous when I would stick my head and neck over the edge to get a better look, so he definitely understands the shared vertigo thing.

Thanks! It’s a pretty gorgeous hike but definitely only worth doing when there are no crowd around. You guys did a couple of other hikes in Zion, how did you like them? Ugh, Yuma hit over 100 everyday we were there. Thank goodness we found an RV park with trees.

Thank you! Since I have a bit of daredevil in me, I really wanted to try Angels Landing, but Mike was a bit leery. I agree, Zion is a beautiful park, we can’t wait to go back and try some other hikes there! Do you have a favorite hike?

Thanks! I have to be honest, the photos aren’t hard to take here, the scenery is so amazing, it’s tough to take bad ones! The number of folks on this trail was nuts! I’m very very glad we started early and beat most of the rush. Ohhh, if you do the Narrows before us, I would love to hear about it on your blog!

I would love to go back sometime and maybe talk my wife into joining me on the Angel’s Landing hike. I just won’t show her your pictures of the down part;)

But man, looking at those photos of Angel’s Landing, I’m not sure how anyone could not be freaked out. That is no joke. I think we will definitely try to check it out at a less busy time, that’s for sure. It’s gotta be hard to handle in general, much less with hordes of other people to contend with.

Great pictures! Can’t wait to see it!!
