In reply to Tomi Newcombe. That's excellent! Buddy will definitely love the park! We'd totally visit the park again, the people are friendly, all the dogs got along great. I just wish there were more parks like that around the US. We really like Port Charlotte, it's a small city but it's close to a fair bit of other areas which makes it a good home base. We'll be in Florida around October too, perhaps we might run into each other!

This park sounds awesome. It is definitely a place I would just love to spend a half day at with my lab, Buddy!
We will be going down to do some exploring in October. It is now on my visit list.
We will be spending 6 weeks in Fla. Beginning next March, so probably won’t make it that trip. But we will begin wintering in Fla. the following year.
We will be in Port Charlotte March & April 2015.

In reply to Debbie. They allow all dogs as long as neutered/spayed and current vaccinations. If you do make it to Jacksonville, definitely check it out! Bring water for you and pup, and snacks for you if you plan to stay for a while. Let me know if you make it there, I'd love to hear about your experience!

What a cool dog park! Do you know if they exclude any breeds? We have a neutered pit bull.
