Thanks! I think either we’re following you or you’re following us! We’re definitely on the same route, looks like we even stayed at the Rio Grande Village Campground in Big Bend. We recognized the photo on your blog.

Vicki, you made it out of NY!! Congratulations :). I can’t believe your heating element is out, haven’t you had to replace it once or twice already? I hope the warranty can fix all those issues permanently and quickly but at least you’re finally in the warmth of florida. I really hope your AC hangs in there!

Opie and Max are doing great! They (unlike us) LOVE the cold weather so they were fairly active while we were in Fort Davis and Las Cruces. It’s nice to see Max being a bad dog and begging from us since it means he’s completely recovered. Thanks for asking!

Planning to swim with the manatee while you’re in Florida? You’ll have to tell us how it goes.

I “felt” your pain at being caught with a tempermental heat pump and furnace. We were faced with a similar problem in NY, when our temps were dropping into the 20’s before we high-tailed it out.

We are now in central Florida enjoying the warmth and sun. We are currently having furnace issues, electric hot water heating element problem and have a front privacy shade that is stuck 3/4th of the way up, but thankfully, we can manage without those amenities right now. We just hope A/C runs without any hiccups.

Have fun, stay warm, keep blogging. Need an update on Ol’ Max and Opie. I hope both are well and happily spoiled rotten.
