We recently upgraded our class c, and floor plan is so different, I find myself almost stepping into the hole. So thanks for the idea, I think my only change will be the location of the hole for lifting. I think I’ll make a smaller hole, put it to the side, and loop and knot a rope thru it. Sorry for folk’s whose dogs were hurt.

Thank you for your post on recalibrating your auto leveling system. I have a 2013 Tiffin Phaeton 36GH. The leveling calibration springs are in the same bay as you mentioned, where the hydraulic pump is, however it is on the opposite side of the bay so it looks a little different. However, I figured it out based on the pictures you had in your article. Fortunately, we were experiencing the exact problem that you described in your article: the back left corner always seemed low. So 1/4 turn on the left back spring screw counterclockwise worked perfectly. I pulled all the jacks up and then releveled and wallah! So thank you very much for your article. I learned something very valuable! Happy glamping!

So sorry to hear about Opie. We all had fun hiking in Ouray. We had to put Hurley down several months ago. Same age. His hi was we miss him. I’m do glad we met Opie. He was a sweetheart. Hugs to you both.

We bought a 2018 Phaeton 40IH when I retired in 2018. Same color and layout as yours. I had a friend that already ordered his, so I didn’t want the same paint job. We went with the custom paint job as well in Blue. Just today I had the Flooded Batteries changed to AGM’s as ours weren’t lasting very long and even though I believe I maintained them well – they were already bulging on the sides. I’m researching today to see if I need to do anything with the existing inverter to handle these AGM’s – so far I’m not seeing anything needing to be changed. If you have any questions or run into any challenges, I may have already “been there and done that”, feel free to drop me a line. Safe travels.

That sure came out nice. My coach has the batteries underneath my steps and the bottom is open to air below. It get very drafty in colder climate so I think I’d better add some foam board insulation to help with that. thanks for the idea it sure turned out nice!!

I was archiving old posts and came here to refresh the link to your blog from our time at Catalina in 2018/19. Naturally, I am heartbroken for you both at Opie’s passing. What a great doggo he was, and how privileged we feel to have met him. Thank you for sharing him in such a beautiful tribute. Peace to your hearts
