When we were marooned in Massachusetts at the beginning of our trip, we spent a lot of time in Rhode Island and really enjoyed it. Providence, especially, felt very comfortable for us and, if not for the fact that we have vowed to “never be cold again,” we might consider it as a long term landing spot. But alas… cold.

I grew up in RI from the 70s to the early 90s. I worked at Old Stone Bank (91-94) and at that very branch (86 South Main Street – The Gold Dome as we called it). Amazing inside. The front doors were so well balanced you could open them with a finger.
